Fiber Board Cement Plant Dust Collection System II
USAF Dust Collection Case Study
- Type of Collector: Baghouse
- Client Name: James Hardie Building Products
- Application: Fiber Board Cement Siding
Project Summary
An industry leader in Fiber Cement Siding required an extensive dual module air pollution control system to capture a significant amount of fiber cement board cutting and sanding dust created at several processing points in the work environment.
Solution
We engineered and manufactured four turnkey US Air Filtration baghouse systems including a dual baghouse system outside. Project included the design and supply of a Dual Baghouse System. Airflow for the entire system captures nearly 100,000 CFM fiber board particulate with an average just under 4 to 1 air-to-cloth filter ratio across the two units housing over 25,400 SF of filter media.
The dual outdoor pulse-jet baghouse system provides ventilation and capture of dust generated during cement board cutting and sanding operations.
Features of the project included an engineered material handling system that allowed them to fill to large 40yd roll-off boxes, PTFE treated filter bags, bag leak detectors and electrical system for on the baghouse system which included Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and HMI touch screens & system protection field devices.
