Project Summary

ESCO Group, a leading manufacturer of engineered metal wear parts and components for industrial applications required three new air pollution control systems to capture fugitive dust particulate from three main areas of their foundry.

Solution

U.S. Air Filtration engineered, manufactured and supplied three new state-of-the art pulse-jet baghouse dust collection systems to replace their existing dust collection systems.

Features and services of this baghouse project include:

1. Herman Sand Tower: 53,200 CFM @ 18″w.g. 250 HP, exhaust fan
2. Sand Reclaim: 49,200 CFM @ 18″w.g. 250 HP, exhaust fan
3. Green Sand Shake: 64,200 CFM @ 16″w.g. 250 HP, exhaust fan

Project Details

Installation Date: August 2020

Equipment Specifications:
  • Each baghouse contained (752) 16 oz. Polyester-Duo Density filter bags w/ galvanized mild steel cages all offering less than a 5.5 to 1 air-to-cloth ratio
  • 5HP 9” Ø x 28’L Heavy-duty hopper screw conveyers and gathering screw w/ individual 10” sq. motorized rotary airlocks
  • Qty. (5) New USAF Model 33 Passive Bin Vents
  • Qty. (1) Ceramic lined Sand Cooler Cyclone w/ 8” rotary airlock discharge
  • Bulk Bag stands for dust containment and easy customer disposal under each baghouse
Turnkey Service:
  • Demolition and disposal of three old baghouse systems
  • Installation of (3) new Model 4716WPT-120EI-120-6 Pulse-jet turnkey USAF baghouse systems
  • Electrical design and install
  • Compressed air piping
