    The Problem/Solution: An industry leader in automotive castings required an extensive three part air pollution control system to capture a significant amount of silica, sand, and metallic dust and fumes created at several processing points in the work environment.

     

    We manufactured and installed four turnkey US Air Filtration baghouse systems from the ground up including a dual baghouse system outside the plant and two internal units. Complete installation included all concrete, electrical, duct work, equipment, and baghouse install. Airflow for the entire system captures nearly 200,000 CFM dust and fumes with an average 4 to 1 air-to-cloth filter ratio across all units.

     

    The dual outdoor pulse-jet baghouse system provides ventilation and capture of dust and fumes generated during mold pouring, mold cooling, shake-out, casting sorting and blast cabinet processing. Another baghouse was installed in the plant to provide ventilation and capture of silica and sand dust created at sand cooler, sand bins, bucket elevators, aerator, mullor, sand transfer points. The fourth baghouse unit was installed to ventilate the close captured furnace charging & melting process.

     

    Features of the project include enclosed hoppers for the outside units, emission testing platforms installed on all units, PTFE treated filter bags, bag leak detectors and an advanced state of the art electrical system for on all three baghouse system which included Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and HMI touch screens , system protection field devices, and exterior & interior lighting.

    The Problem/Solution: A high technology manufacturer of aerospace rubber parts and components needed a new, turnkey dust collection system to remove rubber dust and fumes created during mixing of rubber ingredients.

     

    We manufactured and installed a new US Air Filtration pulse jet cartridge cartridge dust collector from the ground up which included the system, ductwork, and electrical.  The collector was outfitted with high efficiency MERV 15 rated Nanofiber filters and cleaning nozzles to reduce energy consumption and improve system efficiency, performance and filtration. The MERV 15 filters offered superior filtration than standard filters and the new system significantly improved air quality within the work environment.

    The Problem/Solution: The customer is filling a 400 ton manganese silo pneumatically and needs to vent the air in the silo so the feeder doesn’t back up. In order to vent the air without losing any of the manganese we suggested installing a bin vent which preserved the manganese while improving airflow and conveying efficiency. We supplied the customer with the bin vent equipment which they installed at substantial cost savings.

    The Problem/Solution: Fabrication plant was experiencing large amount of fine powder dust created while manufacturing and conveying bulk powder. To avoid AQMD fines and improve working conditions and plant performance, a new dust collection system was needed.

     

    We designed, manufactured and installed a new, turnkey US Air Filtration cartridge dust collector from the ground up. System install included the equipment, ductwork, and electrical. The new system offered improved air filtration with new pulse jet technology which cleans filter bags more efficiently and allow for better filtration and system performance overall.

    The Problem/Solution: Due to local air regulatory agency requirements, our customer was required to install general ventilation systems to keep fugitive dust from escaping the facility into the environment. As part of the ventilation system, a new baghouse was needed to target factory dust emissions and improve plant production and air quality.

    The Problem/Solution: Our customer manufactures turnkey, custom structural steel fabrication and erection construction for industrial and commercial building contractors. Plasma smoke and fumes were being generated at the plasma table where steel was being cut which created a safety hazard for workers and made it difficult for them to perform efficiently.

     

    We supplied our customer with a ready to assemble US Air Filtration pulse jet cartridge dust collector that the customer installed. The new cartridge collector removed fumes using the most efficient and low maintenance pulse jet technology available and also featured advanced high efficiency fire retardant Nanofiber filters.
